#561 — Focus on Romani music

Listen back to recent programs

Program 561
Tomás de Perrate - Tres Golpes
Broadcast

Mostly European music of Romani origin today, with some curious cross-genre pieces, e.g.  The adventurous exploration of flamenco by Tomás de Perrate borders on "art" music, as guided by the excellent production of Raül Refree.  Multumult  make "free" music based on Romanian folk with both acoustic and electronic instruments.  Although Júlia Kozáková has no Rom heritage, she's made a joyous album of their traditional music.
