Puppets & Animation

In the 1960s, George Havrillay had already decided that his large home office should double as an animation studio, building various types of marionettes and puppets with hand-sewn clothes, moulded latex hands and carved wooden shoes. He also constructed small sets for them to inhabit, and over subsequent years experimented with stop-motion animation on 16mm film.
