A tribute to Japanese composer, record producer and keyboard player Ryuichi Sakamoto, who died of cancer aged 71 in Tokyo on 28 March 2023. He was something of a pioneer, keen to integrate his work with the western world, and embraced electronic instruments in pop music. His output also spanned visual art, video games, cinema and environmental activism.
There's also dark, sparse and beautiful new music from France, Norway, Spain and India.
