Maria Moles is a Melbourne-based drummer and percussionist. Her new album "For Leolanda" is very atmospheric overall, and quite beautiful. It's typical of how today's focus on percussion will be diverse and engaging; certainly not 2 hours of drum solos :) There are obviously genres that miss out here, like gamelan music from Indonesia, but I'll keep them in mind for a future program.
