Maarja Nuut is a singer, violinist, electronic artist, and composer from Estonia whose work spans a vast range of musical worlds. On stage she uses loop pedals to create gentle repetitive sonic beds over which she tells stories in voice and song with violin. We'll hear the evolution of her work over the past 6 years inc. collaborations with Hendrik Kaljujärv AKA Ruum, leading up to her new release 'Hinged'.
In and around, we'll hear from north European artists, many of whom I've seen perform in Australia or Germany, most making music based on the strong influence and instruments of local traditions.
