I will just add regarding the "self portrait" -  Maybe it was because Kartika is getting a bit full of me pointing a camera at her all the time, but she announced that I should paint too, and I thought why not? She gave me a big empty canvas, and I went for it. And you'd be bundled up in the tropics like that too if you were as sunburnt as I am...
